Valtellina 's typical products were born from the liveliness of mind of its inhabitants, well used to deal with hard mountains, difficult to live in but able to offer good fruits when respected.

These products are almost all “poor” in the sense that they are made with simple and humble ingredients, but they helped people to get through the hard winters, which are quite long and cold in the area.

Along with time these products have acquired the right dignity of "typical products", because they act as witnesses of our tradition and memory, typical of our valley and only ours. Today they are much requested, desired and protected.
